Dick Simon's "Drop Safe" Cell

Dropping his phone overboard or from a dock was becoming more than frustrating for yacht broker Dick Simon (3 phones in 4-months).  After purchasing a new phone a friend stopped by his office with an "iClip Leash" for Dick to try out.  He did, and it worked perfectly.  "Freedom of use is its biggest plus,"says Dick.  "I can now call from the boats, on the docks, anyplace I am without the risks."

Dick Simon (born September 21, 1933) is one of the oldest men evcer to have raced in the Indianapolis 500.  During his career as an owner/driver, Dick qualified in 19 Indy 500s and completed in 183 IndyCar races with many tp 10 finishes including 6th place in the Indy 500.  He was 55 years old during his final 500 start in 1988 logging a 9th place finish.  Dick's accomplishments also include being the alternate in the 1960 Olympic Ski Team, National Champion Parachute Jumper, an expert scuba diver and a multi-engine pilot. Avid boaters and sailors, in 1991 Dick and his wife Dianne founded Dick Simon Marine in Dana Point, California which became one of the largest yacht dealers in the west coast.  In mid 2009, they formed Dick Simon Yachts Inc. continuing their legacy of life's adventures and achievement.
